Iref first register of members, 1963

Founded in 1963 as a consortium of 5 hardware manufacturers to strengthen their international presence, I.R.E.F. stands for “Industrie Riunite Esportazione Ferramenta”.

Over the years, many factories have turned to IREF to develop their business abroad.

In 2003, a new business unit was created by the Japanese Mr. Hajime Kataoka, diversifying activities into the food, wine and fashion sectors, which are still continuously developing.

Led for over 30 years by Luigi Celada, since 2019 IREF has been driven by his son-in-law, Giovanni Nipoti, who continues to strengthen its role as a reliable commercial partner exporting “Made in Italy” worldwide.

OUR TEAM

Giovanni Nipoti

General Manager

After 18 years at RCS Media Group, one of the world’s leading multimedia groups — known for flagship publications such as “Corriere della Sera” and “La Gazzetta dello Sport”, as well as for organizing the iconic Giro d’Italia cycling race — where I held key roles in marketing, sponsorship, and licensing, I left my comfort zone in 2019 to lead IREF, focusing on hardware, wine and accessories.

The common thread throughout my career has been sales: supported by preparation, strong relationships with clients and suppliers, flexibility and problem-solving.

Married to Giorgia and a proud father of Valerio, Diana and Selene, I still play football and practice trail running.

I speak English and French.

Iryna Zagorna

Area Manager – Eastern Europe

Graduated in languages from the Kyiv State Linguistic University (Ukraine), I have been living in Italy for over 20 years and collaborate with IREF across Eastern Europe and Russian-speaking Asian markets.

In my free time I enjoy sports, reading and traveling.

Native Ukrainian speaker, I’m fluent in Russian, Italian and English.

Ilaria Lella

Sales Back Office

After professional experiences in various sectors, I joined IREF in 2023.

I am a curious person and enjoy challenging myself by learning new things, even demanding ones. Whenever possible, I travel to discover cultures different from my own; in daily life, I enjoy reading, which allows me to travel with my mind.

I believe every day brings new opportunities to learn and that it is never too late to discover something new. In fact, I am about to complete my studies in Sociology, and my goal is to continue exploring, deepening my knowledge and growing both personally and professionally.

I speak English and French.
